Trauma isn’t what happened to you—it’s what happened inside of you. - Gabor Maté

Two people can go through the same event and have completely different responses. That’s because trauma is not the event itself, but the internal response that overwhelms your ability to cope. It’s how your nervous system adapts in the aftermath—often leaving lasting imprints on both body and mind.

How Trauma Manifests
Trauma can look like:
-
Chronic fight, flight, or freeze states
-
Trouble sleeping or breathing deeply
-
Difficulty trusting others
-
Emotional shutdown or hypersensitivity
-
Anxiety, depression, or a sense of disconnection

Whatever form it takes, trauma changes the way you experience life. And these effects don’t live only in your thoughts—they live in your body.

The Body Remembers
Even if you can’t recall a specific event, your nervous system does.
Imagine a toddler separated from their mother for several months. As an adult, they may experience separation anxiety without understanding why. This is the body remembering.
This is why true healing requires more than talk therapy alone.

Why Talk Therapy Isn’t Enough
Many traditional treatments focus only on the mind. But without including the body, healing can feel incomplete—and progress slow. Trauma is a full-body experience, and it needs a full-body response.
Healing comes from reconnecting with the body, listening to its signals, and releasing stored tension.

My trauma healing method is rooted in science, compassion, and embodied wisdom. It blends:
-
Thai massage for emotional and physical release
-
1:1 therapeutic yoga to keep the body open and responsive
-
Breathwork and nervous system regulation
-
Trauma-informed coaching based on Compassionate Inquiry (Dr. Gabor Maté’s approach)
-
Spiritual practices to support your reconnection with self

My Journey With Trauma Work
It all began with Thai massage. I started noticing how clients would release deep emotions during sessions—sometimes without words. Over time, I learned how to read the body’s cues, hold safe space, and support true nervous system regulation.
That foundation has grown into a multidimensional approach that guides people back to themselves—gently, compassionately, and holistically.
